Et si on ne parlait pas St Valentin? What about not talking about Valentines?

Nous voici à cette période de l'année où les magasins nous tartinent de fleurs, de coeurs, de petits ours en peluche, de ballons, et d'autres objets qui dégoulinent de bons sentiments. Vous l'aurez compris, on parlera Saint Valentin. Ou du moins on n'en parlera pas. Un blog sur le mariage devrait normalement s'arrêter par cette étape, qui sait peut-être je m'y attellerai à l'avenir. En attendant, The Best Bridesmaid boycotte la Saint Valentin, non par pour son aspect commercial évident (si l'offre existe, c'est qu'il existe sûrement une demande pour la chose), mais plutôt parce que je préfère recevoir des fleurs sans préavis, et que dire "je t'aime" n'a pas besoin de date précise.

Et vous, qu'est-ce que vous compter faire pour la Saint Valentin?

 

This is the time of the year when the shops are full of flowers, hearts, little teddy bears, balloons and any other items that are flooding of sweet feelings. You got it, we'll talk about Valentines Day. Or actually, we will NOT talk about Valentines Day. Of course a blog on weeding should normally stop on the topic, who knows maybe I'll do so in the future. However, until then, The Best Bridesmaid boycotts Valentines Day: not especially because of its obvious marketing aspect (after all, there's a market for it), but mainly because i enjoy receiving flowers without notice and because saying "i love you" does not need a specific date.

 

So what's your plans for Valentines?

 

Mais voilà, malgré mon boycott, je suis toujours un bisounours, j'ai toujours envie de croire que les histoires se terminent bien, et que le "ils vécurent heureux et eurent beaucoup d'enfants" existent "dans la vraie vie". But well, despite my boycott, i still have the heart of a teddybear, and i do want to believe that stories end well and that "they lived happily ever after" does exist in real life.
